Shadow Puppet Theater from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand
This exhibition showcases The British Museum’s Southeast Asian shadow puppet collection. It traces connections between the various Southeast Asian traditions, showing continuities and change across time. It shows how shadow puppets have been produced, used, and consumed in Southeast Asia and looks at the core stories of shadow theatre.
