Setan Jawa is a silent black and white film accompanied by live gamelan music by foremost Indonesian filmmaker Garin Nugroho. The original Indonesian score is composed by Rahayu Supanggah and forms the foundation for a series of collaborations with international composers. The movie results from a synergetic creative process between Indonesia’s leading artists in the field of filmmaking, music, dance, theatre, fashion, and visual arts.
